Pete the Cat: Firefighter Pete by James Dean

In Pete the Cat: Firefighter Pete by James Dean, Pete and his classmates take a field trip to the firehouse. They meet real firefighters, explore the fire trucks, and learn about the important gear firefighters wear to stay safe. When an emergency call comes in, Pete gets to ride along and see the firefighters in action. This engaging story introduces preschoolers to community helpers, fire safety, and the excitement of trying something new—all with Pete’s signature cool and calm attitude.

It’s a great read to spark curiosity and set the stage for fun, fire safety–themed activities during the week.
