This month we are spotlighting books by Bill Martin Jr.!
Do you have a favorite book by Bill Martin Jr.?
I think Chicka Chicka Boom Boom is the current favorite at my house... but I am hoping to introduce my kids to a few new books this month too.
If you are new to Virtual Book Club for Kids, here's how it works:
- Pick a Bill Martin Jr. book to read with your child or class (a few are shown above in my collage)
- Comment below and let us know that you are participating!!
- Do any activity, craft, cooking project, or other book inspired activity that goes along with the book your chose.
- Share what you did with us starting Monday, September 9th! We will have a linky up for several weeks where you can share any blog posts (if you are a blogger) or you can post what you did at the end of the linky post in the comments or on our Facebook wall.
Here are a few of the Bill Martin Jr. books that we are looking forward to reading and creating with this month...
Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?
Polar Bear, Polar Bear, What Do You Hear?
Chicka Chicka Boom Boom (Classic Board Books)
Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat, Are You Waking Up?
Knots on a Counting Rope (Reading Rainbow Books)
Kitty Cat, Kitty Cat, Are You Going to Sleep?
Barn Dance! (Reading Rainbow)
We always have a hard time just picking one book to feature.
In addition to reading books by Bill Martin Jr. we also love to look for videos featuring our favorite books each month.
Here are a few videos of our two favorite Bill Martin Jr. Books being read and put to music. My daughter has been a bit obsessed with the ABC song lately.

I can't wait to see which book you choose to feature! Have you made any decisions yet? Don't forget to come back on September 9th to share the book and activity you chose to do this month!
