There are lots of apple books out there for toddlers, preschoolers and you to read together. We’ve read through lots and picked out the best and hope that you enjoy them with your children too.
Ten Apples Up On Top! by Dr Seuss
Ten Apples Up on Top! by Dr Seuss is a fun counting and apple books. Three silly friends discover as they balance the apples on their head that they can do silly things like jumping rope, skating and drinking milk!
Ten Red Apples by Pat Hutchins
Another fun counting and apple book is 10 Red Apples by Pat Hutchins. One of our favourites and one that we have featured a couple of times in our apple-themed week here on The Virtual Book Club for Kids.
Count backwards as the animals on the farm gradually eat the apples on the tree but will there be enough for the farmer and the farmer’s wife.
Apples, Apples, Apples by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace
If you would like to mix a little fact with your stories then Apples, Apples, Apples by Nancy Elizabeth Wallace is a fantastic book for you and your little ones to read together.
In the story the bunny family head to the orchard to pick some apples and along the way the farmer teaches them all about the apples and how they grow.
Apple Pie ABC by Alison Murray
Combine an alphabet book with apples and you have Apple Pie ABC by Alison Murray.
The loveable puppy in this book really wants to get the pie and who can blame him. Go through the alphabet with him learning the letters as you go.
